Our Instructors
Pilates Instructor · Level 3 Qualified · Body Control Pilates
Julia is a Level 3 qualified Pilates teacher, trained with Body Control Pilates and teaching since 2017. She first came to Pilates after realising she needed to bring some balance to her own exercising life, which was high impact and aerobic at the time. Her knees were suffering — especially from running — and she was recommended Pilates.
She quickly discovered a way of exercising that helped her knees and made her strong and flexible in a balanced, focused way. It was a perfect complement to her other exercise, and it inspired her to train as a teacher. Julia is a fully trained Mat-work and Reformer teacher, and continues to attend regular development courses to expand her knowledge.
Julia offers a compassionate and patient teaching style, allowing clients to fully develop their movement and understanding of Pilates at their own pace.

"I have been attending Kate's reformer & tower classes for over a year now and can feel the change in my body. Her detailed and varied choreography combines movement-focused sessions to all the levels. She always pays attention to each member of the class and offers supportive guidance throughout. I leave feeling better in my body and movement. I highly recommend the sessions."
"I cannot recommend Kate highly enough. As a lady with RA and more recently knee surgery, I started with Katie in her Pilates and physio role — the combination of her expertise, healing hand and incredible care has been wonderful. I don't know what I would do without her."
"I have been working with Katie for a number of years, and she has helped me conquer my goals of running marathons. Her guidance and vast knowledge of not only Pilates, rehabilitation and sports medicine have kept me flexible, injury free and overall stronger, allowing me to continue doing what I enjoy."
"I love my 1-2-1 sessions with Katie because her Physio skill and Pilates teaching really push me to strengthen myself, targeting weaknesses and resetting my muscle memory. I started with Katie when I was returning to Pilates after a hip replacement. I now feel I can keep up with most of my peers!"
"I've been doing Pilates with Kate for over 15 years in person and online. Her training as a physio adds an extra dimension to the sessions and gives you confidence around any injuries or, in my case, an aging body. Moreover the classes are fun — I can't recommend her highly enough."
